Chairmanship aspirant, Shuaib Sheu Baba, on Saturday paid an unscheduled visit to the bustling Suleja Market, mingling with traders and shoppers despite the rainfall.

Baba, who is contesting in the November 1, 2025, Suleja Local Government elections, was seen moving through the market in the company of a few associates, exchanging pleasantries with residents and engaging market women in conversation.

An eyewitness told Abuja City Journal that it was the first time the politician had been spotted at the market.

“We were surprised to see him here today. He was friendly and kept greeting everyone,” the source said.

The visit quickly drew attention from traders and shoppers, many of whom interpreted the gesture as an early campaign move aimed at connecting with grassroots residents.

With the countdown to the local government elections underway, observers believe Baba’s market appearance signals a deliberate strategy to woo voters and strengthen his appeal among Suleja’s grassroots community.
