The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), has enlisted 16 certified technology companies to support the onboarding of taxpayers onto its National E-Invoicing Solution.

The move, announced at a two-day workshop in Lagos on Thursday, is aimed at streamlining invoice processing and boosting compliance.

Certified by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), the firms will assist businesses in integrating and transmitting invoices on the platform, which digitally records transactions between suppliers and buyers.

The system replaces traditional paper or electronic invoices, credit notes, and debit notes, capturing key details such as buyer/seller information, product descriptions, quantities, prices, taxes, and totals, with real-time or near-real-time validation.

Mike Adoga, Acting Director of Tax Automation at FIRS, noted that taxpayers may switch service providers if necessary.

The certified providers include Pasca Technology, Hoptool Technology, Etranzact International, Telepac Africa, Cryptware System, Namiri Technology, Ace of Spades Consult, Jureb Business Solutions, Qucoon, Courteville Business Solutions, Softrust Technologies, Westmetro, Arca Payments, Elara Technical Services, Interswitch, and Remita Payment.

Chief of Staff to the FIRS Executive Chairman, Tayo Koleosho, revealed that over 1,000 companies; about 20% of the target have joined since the platform’s August 1, 2025 launch.

The agency aims to onboard more than 5,000 companies, with MTN, IHS, and Huawei already live on the system.
