The Dangote Group has confirmed its involvement in the accident that led to the amputation of Ruth Otabor’s leg, sister of Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Phyna, and pledged full medical and financial support.
The incident occurred in Auchi, Edo State, and drew widespread attention after Phyna’s emotional appeal for justice on social media.
Senior officials from Dangote Cement Plc and their insurance team visited Ruth at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, assuring the family of the company’s commitment to her recovery.
In a statement, Dangote Group wished Ruth a “full and speedy recovery,” stressing that the intervention was in line with its welfare policy and responsibility to address the serious injuries caused by the accident.
