The Imo State Police Command has arrested a 39-year-old man, Ifeanyi Odinka, for allegedly stabbing his 75-year-old father, Dennis Odinka, to death during an argument over proceeds from a land sale in Orlu.
Police spokesperson Henry Okoye, in a statement on Wednesday, said operatives of the Orlu Division apprehended Ifeanyi on August 12, 2025, in Amaifeke, Orlu Local Government Area.
“On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime,” Okoye stated, adding that Ifeanyi has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Owerri for further investigation and prosecution.
