Liverpool have agreed to sign 18-year-old defender Giovanni Leoni from Parma for a reported £26 million, including add-ons.
The Reds have been seeking defensive reinforcements, with Ibrahima Konaté entering the final year of his contract at Anfield.
The agreement was finalized late Wednesday night, and Leoni now has permission to travel to Liverpool to finalize personal terms and undergo a medical, expected to commence on Thursday.
