National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to maintain complete impartiality and transparency in Saturday’s by-elections.

In a statement on Thursday, the former Senate President said the polls offer INEC an opportunity to rebuild public trust in Nigeria’s electoral process.

The ADC is fielding candidates for senatorial, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly seats in ten states.

Describing the ADC as a “child of necessity” offering Nigerians a fresh path to good governance, Mark appealed to voters to give the party a chance to prove its capacity.

He reminded INEC that all eyes are on the commission to correct past errors and restore its credibility.

Mark also called on security agencies to ensure a level playing field, free from intimidation or interference.

Commending ADC candidates for their courage, he urged them to comply fully with electoral laws.
