Talent manager Ubi Franklin has denied claims that he stole a luxury wristwatch during Davido’s wedding in Miami.

The allegations surfaced online shortly after the event, linking Franklin to a missing watch.

Franklin took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify the situation, explaining that a man named Benny had approached him in Miami to sell a watch.

After verifying its history, Franklin declined to buy it.

Later, during the church service, Benny’s brother delivered another watch, which Franklin purchased and fully paid for.

Owing to the busy nature of the wedding, Franklin briefly had both watches and even wore one.

He left Miami shortly after to attend his sister’s funeral. During his flight, Benny contacted him about the first watch.

Franklin emphasized that he had never stolen anything and noted that Benny had already dismissed the theft claim earlier that day.

He described the ordeal as “a difficult and sensitive time” but confirmed this would be his only public statement.

Davido later shared Franklin’s statement on social media, adding: “You owe nobody any explanation… fools.”
