Chukwuebuka Enekwechi, African record holder in the men’s shot put, claimed bronze at the Gyulai István Memorial in Szekesfehervar, Hungary.
Enekwechi recorded a throw of 21.15 meters, finishing behind two-time World Champion Joe Kovacs of the USA (22.33m) and New Zealand’s Tom Walsh (21.52m).
The Nigerian athlete’s performance further underscores his status as one of Africa’s leading shot putters.
