The Lagos State Government will divert traffic along Osborne Road, Ikoyi, for two days to allow for critical drainage upgrades.
The diversion will run from 10:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, to midnight on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
The project involves installing a cross culvert linking new drains on Modupe Alakija Crescent to an underground channel beneath Osborne Road near Foreshore Towers.
To manage the disruption, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), will implement a contraflow system on Osborne/Alfred Rewane Road.
The affected stretch, about 100 metres from Modupe Alakija Crescent to the Alfred Rewane Road junction will see outbound traffic rerouted into a temporary lane, while inbound traffic will be restricted to a single lane.
Motorists can also take alternative routes via Oba Adeyemi Oyekan Avenue to Glover Road, Lugard Avenue, or Cameron Road.
The government assured the road will reopen fully by Monday, August 18, 2025, and urged patience, with LASTMA officers on hand to ensure smooth movement.
