The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has reported that 93,863 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), remain uncollected across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), highlighting the urgent need for intensified voter outreach ahead of forthcoming elections.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner for the FCT revealed the figure during a stakeholder engagement session in Abuja.
While PVC distribution has improved, nearly 94,000 eligible voters risk being disenfranchised if they do not collect their cards.
The Commissioner called on political parties, civil society groups, and community leaders to step up sensitisation campaigns.
He emphasised the crucial role of PVCs in democratic participation and warned that the collection deadline would not be extended, urging voters to act promptly.
