The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), has conducted computer-based promotion examinations for 915 assistant and deputy directors across its secretariats, departments, and agencies.
The exercise, held at the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), headquarters in Bwari, Abuja, marked the second time the FCTA has adopted the computer-based testing method for senior-level promotions.
Director of the Human Resource Management Department, Mallam Muhammad Bashir, said the initiative reflects the Minister’s commitment to transparency, merit, and efficiency in the civil service.
He noted that the process was designed to eliminate favoritism, ensure fairness, and promote digital literacy among staff.
Bashir explained that candidates were drawn from the Administration’s six secretariats and other units, adding that the promotion exercise is aimed at boosting morale, rewarding hard work, and strengthening service delivery in the FCT.
He commended the smooth conduct of the exams and urged participants to keep upgrading their skills to meet the demands of modern public service.
