The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), says a key eyewitness has come forward with fresh details on the viral altercation between a passenger and an Ibom Air crew member during an August 10 Uyo-Lagos flight.
NCAA Director of Public Affairs, Michael Achimugu, confirmed that the witness, who sat directly beside passenger Comfort Emmanson, provided a boarding pass for verification.
The account reportedly sheds new light on the incident, including the conduct of other parties and the handling of passengers before takeoff.
The NCAA has issued a Letter of Investigation to Ibom Air and plans to meet with the airline and other eyewitnesses to resolve the matter.
Achimugu reiterated the commitment of the Minister of Aviation and the NCAA to safeguarding the rights of all aviation stakeholders and ensuring accountability.
