Former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, stirred political discussions on Wednesday with a high-profile appearance in Chikun Local Government Area, publicly showing support for the Coalition faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Standing atop a vehicle, El-Rufai waved the ADC’s green-and-white flag to an enthusiastic crowd, drawing loud cheers from supporters who lined the streets to witness the spectacle.
The display has fueled speculation that El-Rufai may be preparing to leave the Social Democratic Party (SDP), for the Coalition-ADC.
While no official statement confirming a defection has been made, political analysts in Kaduna interpret the public gesture as a strong indication of his next political move.
