Speakers at the maiden Digital Professional Fair 2025 have urged Nigerian youth to leverage digital tools and adopt discipline in building sustainable brands.
The two-day event, organized by Tutu Adetunbi, sought to equip young people with the skills to compete in the global digital economy.
Keynote speaker Jude Chikezie, founder of Oyster Skin, stressed the importance of “patience, process, and purpose” in brand growth.
He shared his own entrepreneurial journey, cautioning against rushing to scale a vision before it is fully developed.
He also advised having a tangible brand in place before seeking external investment.
Legal practitioner Oluwatosin Adegbesan warned against legal oversights, urging entrepreneurs to fully understand partnership terms to avoid losing control of their ventures.
Other speakers, including Omobosola Alaka, CEO of Hafrikplay, encouraged the use of AI to drive the digital economy, while highlighting the need for continuous practice, collaboration, and monetization of skills.
Ms. Adetunbi called for government support to make such empowerment events more frequent, saying they can play a vital role in bridging the digital skills gap among Nigerian youth.
