Ahead of the 2026 Area Council elections, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Chairman Hon. Christopher Maikalangu has appointed Hon. Yusuf Mohammed Nadabo as his new running mate, replacing Deputy Hon. Nasir Umar.
The announcement came during a high-level APC meeting, signaling a strategic shift in Maikalangu’s re-election campaign.
Maikalangu described Nadabo’s “impressive credentials” and long-standing service to the party as making him the ideal partner for a second term.
Nadabo, a respected leader from Karu Ward and traditional titleholder Ciroman Pawan Karu, has over 20 years of experience in politics and community service.
His previous roles include Special Assistant to the AMAC party chairman and Director-General of the APC National Integrity Movement (ANIM), in the FCT.
Party leaders have hailed the Maikalangu-Nadabo ticket as a strategic pairing capable of ensuring continuity and administrative efficiency.
AMAC APC Chairman Alhaji Muktar Abubakar endorsed the move, expressing confidence that it would strengthen the party’s position in the upcoming elections.
