The Confederation of African Football (CAF), has approved only two stadiums in Nigeria to host matches for the 2025/26 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.

Following a thorough inspection, CAF confirmed that the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, and the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, are the only venues that meet its stringent infrastructure and facility standards.

As a result, Nigeria’s four continental representatives; Remo Stars and Rivers United (CAF Champions League), and Kwara United and Abia Warriors (CAF Confederation Cup), will play all their home fixtures at either of the two approved stadiums.

With both CAF tournaments running concurrently, football authorities will need to coordinate fixture schedules, pitch maintenance, and logistics to avoid clashes and preserve playing conditions.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), is expected to work closely with stadium managers to ensure seamless hosting of multiple high-profile games throughout the season.
