Babcock: MDCN Inducts 101 New Medical Doctors

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has officially inducted 101 new medical doctors from Babcock University’s Ben Carson College of Health and Medical Sciences.

The induction ceremony, marking the university’s 10th such event, was held at the school’s Amphi Theatre.

Among the inductees, 32 students graduated with distinctions in various courses.

Chisom Emmanuella Okafor stood out as the best graduating student, achieving an impressive 10 distinctions.

In recognition of her academic excellence, she received a plaque and cash awards totaling ₦600,000 – ₦500,000 from the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Ogun State chapter and ₦100,000 from the chapter’s chairman and secretary.

At the ceremony, MDCN Registrar Dr. Fatima Kyari, represented by Dr. Tijjani Ali, administered the oath of allegiance to the new doctors.

She urged them to uphold the highest ethical standards in all aspects of their medical practice.

Prof. Ademola Tayo, Vice Chancellor of Babcock University, described the induction as a pivotal milestone in the graduates’ professional journey.

He encouraged them to remain dedicated to serving humanity and to uphold the values and standards of the medical profession as they embark on their careers.
