Nigeria’s Super Falcons have held firm at 36th position in the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking, reaffirming their status as Africa’s top-ranked women’s football team.
The ranking, released in June 2025, matches their previous placement in March and places them ahead of South Africa (53rd), Morocco (61st), Zambia (62nd), and Ghana (66th).
Globally, the United States remains in the top spot, followed by Spain, Germany, England, and Japan.
The Falcons’ recent form includes back-to-back wins over Algeria (2-0, 4-1) and a narrow 2-1 loss to France’s Les Bleues.
FIFA’s next Women’s World Ranking update is scheduled for August 7, 2025.
