The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier-General Olakunle Nafiu, has urged members of the 2024 Batch B Stream II to be agents of innovation and positive change as they transition from service to civilian life.
Speaking at their Passing-Out Parade, Nafiu congratulated the corps members on completing the mandatory one-year national service and encouraged them to see the experience not as an end, but as a stepping stone to greater leadership responsibilities.
He emphasized the need for creativity, integrity, and patriotism, noting that Nigerian youths have the ingenuity and resilience required to tackle the country’s pressing challenges.
“Remain entrepreneurial, take bold steps, and uphold the values of national unity and service wherever you go,” he said.
General Nafiu also reiterated the NYSC’s role in nurturing responsible citizens and future leaders, urging the outgoing corps members to contribute meaningfully to development in their communities.
