Fuji legend King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has denied allegations of unruly conduct at Lagos airport, describing the claims by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), as “exaggerated” and “misleading.”

In a statement issued by his media aide, Kunle Rasheed, the musician refuted reports that he acted improperly while attempting to board a ValueJet flight on August 5, 2025.

According to the statement, KWAM 1 was merely offered plain drinking water at the airport lounge; an act which was allegedly sensationalized to paint him in a bad light.

The statement also dismissed claims that the artist blocked an aircraft or disrupted operations, calling such reports “completely unfounded.”

It further revealed that top executives of the airline, including the Chairman and Managing Director, reached out to apologize and even offered him a private jet to Lagos an offer KWAM 1 declined.

Describing him as the actual victim in the saga, the statement said the musician has been cooperating with authorities and urged the public and media to avoid sensationalism and allow facts to prevail.

Notably, the pilot involved in the incident has reportedly had her license suspended; a development the statement suggested may be linked to an attempt to shift blame.
