The head of the Fulani vigilante group in Abuja, Ibrahim Adamu, has died after collapsing at his home in Gosa village, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).
A relative, Usman Yakubu, said Adamu slumped around 11:27 a.m. on Friday after returning from a POS stand where he withdrew money. He was preparing for a security meeting in the city. He was rushed to a nearby clinic but was confirmed dead on arrival.
Chairman of MACBAN in the FCT, Alhaji Wakili Madugu, confirmed the incident, saying he had sent Adamu transport fare for the planned meeting before receiving news of his death.
Adamu was buried at the community’s Muslim cemetery.
