The All Progressives Congress (APC), in Osun State has faulted Governor Ademola Adeleke for leaving the state for nearly two weeks without officially informing the public.

The party queried who is running the government and if a formal handover was done.

The APC described the governor’s silence on his whereabouts as disrespectful to the people and claimed he left shortly after a failed attempt to join the APC.

It also expressed worry that state matters might be handled by family members during his absence.

Reacting, Adeleke’s media team said the governor travelled to the United States for the wedding of his nephew, music star Davido. They stressed the trip was a private family engagement and not official.

They noted that the governor has been in constant touch with his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, who is acting in his absence.

The administration also said this is Adeleke’s first official break since assuming office in November 2022, and assured that governance has not been disrupted.
