Man Slumps, Dies at Niger Government House Lodge

A man identified as Gregory died after collapsing at a lodge inside the Niger State Government House in Minna on Friday night, August 2.

Gregory reportedly arrived at the Government House around 9:30 p.m. to see Sammy Adigun, chairman of the Niger Food Security Systems and Logistics Company, but was told his host was unavailable.

Moments later, he suddenly fell ill and collapsed.

Officers from the GRA Division responded swiftly and rushed him to the IBB Specialist Hospital in Minna, where he was confirmed dead.

The Chief Security Officer of the Government House had reported the incident to the police. His body has been deposited at the hospital mortuary for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

So far, police say no foul play is suspected.
