Rio Chima Ngumoha, the highly rated Liverpool youngster, remains eligible to represent Nigeria at the senior level, sources close to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), have confirmed.
Amid recent speculation regarding his international future, NFF insiders have clarified that Ngumoha has not committed to any other country.
The 17-year-old forward, who has been making waves in England with his impressive performances, continues to be on the radar of Nigeria’s national team scouts.
The NFF is closely monitoring his development, with a view to strengthening the Super Eagles’ attacking options.
Ngumoha’s representatives have also indicated his keen interest in playing for Nigeria, effectively dismissing rumors of a potential allegiance switch.
An official invitation to join the national team setup is expected in the coming weeks, a move that could see the exciting talent take his place among Nigeria’s rising football stars.
