Parents in Bwari, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have been urged to remain vigilant amid a surge in child theft cases in the area.

Community leader, Dan-Asabe Isha, issued the warning following a rising number of reported toddler kidnappings in the town.

He described the trend as alarming and pleaded with parents to monitor their children closely at all times.

“The number of children reported stolen daily is becoming worrisome,” he said, emphasizing the need for constant parental supervision.

Isha also called on the police, other security agencies, and local vigilante groups to intensify surveillance across the community.

He further urged community leaders to continue sensitizing youths on the dangers of engaging in criminal acts that threaten peace and social order.
