Former Super Eagles midfielder, Mutiu Adepoju, has praised Victor Osimhen’s decision to sign a new four-year deal with Galatasaray, calling it a smart move.
Adepoju said the Nigerian striker made the right choice by staying with the Turkish giants after helping them win the league and cup last season.
“Osimhen is already well loved at Galatasaray. That familiarity and continuity matter,” he said.
“He’s a strong character and a proven goalscorer. Galatasaray have a striker who can help them defend their title and make an impact in the Champions League.”
Adepoju added that he was pleased with the transfer and believes Osimhen will thrive in his new chapter.
“I said I wanted him to go where he would be happy. Judging from his comments on arrival in Turkey, I think he is.”
