Bauchi Governor Urges Support to Corps welfare.

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the welfare of NYSC corps members during their swearing-in ceremony on Friday.
He assured the corps members of the state’s support for the NYSC scheme’s goals and objectives.

The Governor, represented by Mohammed Umar, Head of Civil Service, highlighted the state’s efforts to enhance corps members’ experience, including renovating hostels and building a multipurpose hall.

The Governor emphasized that this was just the first phase of the project, promising that the second phase would include staff accommodations, a clinic, and other essential facilities. He encouraged corps members to take their national assignment seriously, advocating for national development and unity.

Governor Mohammed pledged to continue supporting corps members and staff during their orientation, ensuring their comfort within the state’s resource limits. He urged NYSC members to commit to achieving the scheme’s objectives, fostering unity and development across the nation.

According to him, 1,107 corps members comprising 608 males and 499 females had been successfully registered before the commencement of the swearing-in ceremony, out of the 1,700 corps members posted to the state.
