Man Remanded for Allegedly Impersonating Police Officer in Kano

A Magistrate Court sitting in Kano has ordered the remand of two men in connection with alleged criminal activities and impersonation in the Ja’en area of Gwale Local Government.

One of the suspects, identified as Usman Isa, is accused of posing as a police officer with the intent to mislead and exploit members of the public. Alongside him is Umar Tijjani, who is facing multiple charges including conspiracy, trespassing, theft, and destruction of property.

The two defendants appeared before Magistrate Mustapha Abba Dandago, where they pleaded not guilty to the allegations brought against them.

The court subsequently ordered their remand in a correctional facility and adjourned the matter until August 29, 2025, for further proceedings.
