President Bola Tinubu has revealed plans to build a new national secretariat for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.

Speaking at the 14th APC National Executive Committee meeting at the State House Conference Centre on Thursday, Tinubu said, “We’ll look for an appropriate land to build a befitting secretariat.”

He did not disclose the project cost or timeline.

The APC currently operates from Muhammadu Buhari House at 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja. The property, named after former President Muhammadu Buhari in June 2021, was acquired by the party after a N2.5 billion payment and became its headquarters later that year.

Thursday’s emergency NEC meeting was held at the Presidential Villa, unlike the last meeting held at Buhari House. Tinubu’s plan signals the party’s push to strengthen its physical and political structure for the future.
