Super Falcons Arrive in Rabat for WAFCON 2024 Final

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have arrived in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of their highly anticipated 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) final clash against hosts Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses. The team arrived on Wednesday, following their thrilling 2-1 semi-final victory over South Africa’s Banyana Banyana on Tuesday night.

The Super Falcons are set to train at the FUS Academie in Rabat later today, with the first 15 minutes of the session open to the media. On Friday, the team will have a closed-door training session at the same venue, allowing them to fine-tune their strategies without media scrutiny.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons are gunning for a record-extending 10th WAFCON title. They will face Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses, who are seeking their first-ever WAFCON championship, at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat on Saturday.

The host nation, Morocco, secured their spot in the final after defeating Ghana’s Black Queens 4-2 on penalties in the semi-finals. The match had ended 1-1 after extra time, showcasing the competitive spirit of both teams.

The stage is set for an electrifying final, with both teams ready to give their all in pursuit of the coveted WAFCON trophy.
