Chinedu Obika, member representing AMAC and Bwari Federal Constituency, has urged victims of the recent demolition in Karsana community to submit a formal petition through him to the National Assembly for deliberation.

During a visit to the affected area, Obika condemned the demolition reportedly carried out by a developer and decried the use of police force against residents, which left two natives with gunshot wounds.

He described the action as a gross violation of human rights and called on community leaders to remain calm while assuring them of his commitment to justice.

“I will fight for justice using every legal tool at our disposal. Your dignity and justice remain non-negotiable,” he said.

Obika reaffirmed his support for the original inhabitants of the FCT and pledged to advocate for their rights at the national level.

He also donated an undisclosed sum to cover the medical expenses of the two injured residents.
