The atmosphere was charged with excitement at The Peculiar People’s Centre for Deliverance Through Evangelism, a branch of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church (CSMC), in Kubwa, Abuja, as teenage member Deborah Onyibe, emerged 2nd best nationwide at the 2024 National Bible Competition organized by the Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN).
Deborah, a standout participant from the church’s teenage ministry, clinched the coveted position after a series of impressive wins; first at the Kubwa Auxiliary level, then at the Abuja Area, and later at the Zonal level, before making a remarkable finish at the national stage.
Her victory was officially celebrated during a worship service, when a delegation from the BSN, led by Abuja Area Chairman, Dr. Samuel and Kubwa Auxiliary Chairman, Pastor Mike, presented her with the award before the congregation.
The church community, fondly known as ‘The Peculiar People’, hailed Deborah’s feat as a testimony to youthful commitment to Scripture and the fruit of dedicated mentorship within the teenage ministry.
The Church congratulated Deborah on her Facebook page for making her proud and inspiring a generation.
The church offered prayers for God’s continued guidance over Deborah and reaffirmed its commitment to raising more young champions for Christ through the study of God’s Word.
