The National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), in partnership with Simba Group Nigeria, has trained 60 technicians in Kano on the repair and maintenance of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), and petrol-powered tricycles and motorcycles.

The five-day training held at the NADDC Automotive Training Centre in Kura provided hands-on experience aimed at boosting employment and entrepreneurship among youths and artisans.

Speaking at the graduation, NADDC Director of Industrial Infrastructure, Dr. Nua Omisanya, urged participants to use the empowerment tools given and avoid selling them.

He said the tools would give them an edge over others and disclosed that stipends were also provided to ease financial strain.

The training is part of NADDC’s broader push to promote CNG adoption and empower local technicians, especially youths and women.
