Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda was involved in a minor auto accident Sunday evening along the Daura-Katsina Road while returning from a condolence visit to the Daura residence of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
His Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, said the governor sustained no serious injuries and is in stable condition.
He is undergoing routine precautionary medical evaluation in Daura.
The government dismissed social media claims that Radda suffered a fracture or was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Daura, stressing that he remains “in good health and high spirits.”
Governor Radda thanked Almighty Allah for protection and appreciated citizens and well-wishers for their concern and prayers.
