The Presidency has strongly criticized the African Democratic Congress (ADC), for accusing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration of politicizing the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing the claim as “shameless” and “obnoxious.”

In a statement on Saturday, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, accused the ADC of seeking relevance by “disrespecting Buhari and dancing on his grave.”

“It is the ADC, not this government, exploiting Buhari’s death for attention. From Atiku and El-Rufai’s choreographed visit to Daura to this disgraceful press release, the ADC has shown itself to be utterly shameless,” Dare said.

He dismissed the ADC’s claims as “laughable tantrums” from a party facing an identity crisis, while defending Tinubu’s “dignified and befitting” conduct during the mourning period.

Dare also highlighted Tinubu’s key achievements, including naira stabilization, increased oil production, 60% rise in FAAC allocations, rural electrification, and major infrastructure projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and Sokoto-Badagry Road.

He also cited the student loan scheme, new regional commissions, and the national consumer credit program.

“These are tangible, measurable results. That is leadership,” Dare stated.

He described the ADC as a struggling political outfit latching onto baseless criticisms, urging Nigerians to ignore its “political noise” and focus on Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
