The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the upcoming Anambra election, Jude Ezenwafor, has survived an assassination attempt in Abuja.
Ezenwafor was shot by unidentified gunmen around Wuse 2 on Friday night while returning from an engagement.
He is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in the city.
“I’m in the hospital now. Doctors are preparing to operate on me to remove bullets from my body,” he told journalists on Saturday.
Two others who were with him during the attack also sustained gunshot wounds.
