Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, representing Osun East Senatorial District, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
His resignation was confirmed in a letter addressed to the PDP ward chairman in Ilase-Ijesa, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State.
Though he did not state a specific reason, the senator said the decision followed extensive consultations with his political associates and constituents.
Fadahunsi’s exit has sparked speculations about his next political move, particularly as talks of political realignments gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
A prominent figure within the PDP in Osun and nationally, Fadahunsi has held several legislative and party roles over the years.
As of press time, the PDP leadership in Osun State had not issued an official response.
