Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and his wife, Tamunominini, have pledged support for the completion of the Akure Town Hall and the modernization of the Akure Palace.

The commitment came on Friday after the couple was installed as Aare Omoluabi and Yeye Aare Omoluabi of the Akure Kingdom by the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, during a ceremony marking the monarch’s 10th coronation anniversary.

Governor Makinde described the titles as a call to serve and reaffirmed his dedication to the kingdom’s development.

“My wife and I are honored by this recognition. We will support the completion of the Town Hall and the modernization of the palace.

“This occasion marks a renewed commitment to Akure Kingdom,” he said.

Makinde also acknowledged his mother, Mrs. Victoria Modupe Alo, for her encouragement to attend the event.

The ceremony drew dignitaries from Oyo State and beyond.
