Excitement is building in the Federal Capital Territory as the 46th edition of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Senior Tennis Championship is set to serve off on July 21, 2025.
The tournament will run through July 26 at the tennis courts of Package B, Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, with main draw qualifiers already underway.
Speaking ahead of the event on Wednesday, Mrs. Hakama Sidi Ali, Acting Director of Corporate Communications at the CBN, reaffirmed the bank’s unwavering commitment to nation-building and youth development.
She noted that the annual championship has provided a platform for young talents to channel their energy positively and showcase their God-given abilities on a national stage.
Now in its 46th year, the CBN Senior Tennis Championship is widely regarded as Nigeria’s premier tennis tournament.
It has produced top players who have represented the country in prestigious international competitions, including the Davis Cup and African Games, cementing its place as a pillar of Nigeria’s sports legacy.
