The Labour Party (LP), under the leadership of Senator Nenadi Usman, has convened its National Executive Committee (NEC), meeting in Abuja to reposition the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
Top highlights include the inauguration of an interim National Working Committee (NWC), and the setup of strategic committees for membership revalidation and the conduct of congresses.
Present at the meeting are Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti, Deputy Governor Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, NLC President Comrade Joe Ajaero, and members of the party’s Board of Trustees.
Party insiders say the NEC meeting is crucial for streamlining internal structures and building momentum for 2027.
