Former Kogi West Senator Dino Melaye made his first appearance as a lawyer at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday, July 18, 2025.
Appearing before Justice Emeka Nwite in Court 8, Melaye, dressed in full legal attire, moved a motion on behalf of a client in a civil case.
His courtroom debut comes just over a week after being called to the Nigerian Bar on July 10.
The appearance drew attention from legal peers and social media, with photos and videos circulating shortly after the session.
The case was adjourned to a later date.
Melaye’s courtroom debut marks a new chapter in his career, adding legal practice to his background in politics and public service.
