Prominent women leaders in Ogun State have lauded the First Lady, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, for her unwavering commitment to empowering women and promoting child welfare.
Speaking during a birthday celebration held in her honour at the Juvenile Correctional Centre, Asero, Abeokuta, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Motunrayo Adeleye, described the First Lady as a symbol of compassion and quiet strength.
“Through the Ajose Foundation and your collaboration with our ministry, you have turned advocacy into daily acts of hope and support,” Adeleye said.
She commended Mrs. Abiodun for choosing to mark her birthday with children at the centre, calling it a reflection of her deep empathy for the vulnerable.
Other dignitaries, including Deputy Speaker Hon. Ajayi Bolanle and Special Adviser on Trade, Mrs. Oluwayemisi Dawodu, also praised the First Lady’s dedication to humanitarian causes and support for women-focused initiatives.
Mrs. Abiodun thanked the guests for their goodwill and reaffirmed her commitment to policies that uplift women and strengthen children’s voices.
The celebration ended with her donation of food and essential supplies to the centre.
