Emmanuel Otokpa was arraigned before a Magistrate’s Court in Gwagwalada, Abuja, on Wednesday for allegedly defrauding a businessman of N182,000 under the pretense of supplying Jerusalem honey.

Prosecutor Abdullahi Tanko told the court that Otokpa received the payment from Mr. Ifeanyi Nwankwo in June 2024 but failed to deliver the goods, allegedly diverting the funds for personal use.

Otokpa pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of criminal breach of trust and cheating.

Magistrate Olatunji Oladunmoye granted him bail at N200,000 with one surety. The case was adjourned to July 22, 2025.
