Robin Kaye, longtime music supervisor for American Idol, and her husband, Marc Deluca, were found dead in their Los Angeles home in what police are treating as a homicide.

The LAPD’s Valley Bureau confirmed on Monday that a suspect has been arrested, though no motive has been established.

Kaye, renowned for her two-decade contribution to American Idol, also worked on major productions like Miss USA, Miss Universe, Lip Sync Battle, and the NAACP Image Awards.

Her career began in Nashville with Waylon Jennings, later spanning roles at MTM Records, Universal, and PolyGram before founding her company, SyncroniCity.

She was also Vice President of the Guild of Music Supervisors and represented artists like Andrea Bocelli and Kenny Loggins.

Tributes have poured in from industry colleagues. “Robin was simply the best,” said Phil Gurin, CEO of The Gurin Company. “She brought positivity, professionalism, and joy to every project.”

Authorities say investigations are ongoing.
