MultiChoice Nigeria has announced that the 2025 edition of Big Brother Naija will premiere with a double launch on July 26 and 27, with a record-breaking N150 million cash prize for the winner.
The announcement was made at a press briefing on Wednesday, where organisers confirmed that media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return as host for the highly anticipated new season.
Speaking at the event, Ebuka noted that BBNaija has featured 197 housemates across nine seasons, aired for 709 days, and awarded a total of N637 million in prize money since its inception in 2006.
Last year’s “No Loose Guard” edition introduced a twist where housemates started as pairs before competing individually.
Kellyrae won that season, becoming the first married contestant to claim the top prize of N100 million.
For the 2025 season, physical auditions were reintroduced and held from May 16 to 18 across selected locations.
Expectations are high as fans gear up for what promises to be another drama-filled edition of Africa’s most popular reality show.
