The All Progressives Congress (APC), chairmanship candidate for the February 21, 2026 election in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo, has called on residents to take full advantage of the upcoming continuous voter registration exercise scheduled for August 2025 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Shekwolo emphasized that the exercise presents a crucial opportunity for eligible voters to register or update their voter information ahead of the council polls, especially those who may have lost their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

“Your voter card is your power. I encourage everyone, particularly first-time voters and those who have misplaced their cards, to use this opportunity to get registered,” he said.

He noted that many eligible voters in remote communities may still be unaware of INEC’s planned registration and said his outreach is aimed at educating and sensitizing them.

Speaking during a visit to Rubochi ward alongside the FCT APC Welfare Secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim Koko, and other party executives, Shekwolo reiterated his commitment to grassroots engagement.

He said his “thank you” tour across all ten wards of the council is to appreciate delegates and party stakeholders for their support during the recent APC primary election.

At Rubochi, he addressed ward executives, stakeholders, elders’ forum, and the women’s group, urging them to mobilize their communities for the voter registration exercise in the coming weeks.
