Chelsea, in a stunning performance to claim the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup title has dismantled French giants; “Paris Saint-Germain” 3-0 in Sunday’s final at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Cole Palmer was the star of the show, scoring twice in the first half and assisting João Pedro for the third goal before the break.

Palmer’s brilliance, combined with Chelsea’s high pressing and tactical discipline, left PSG dazed and outplayed.

The English side, who qualified by winning the UEFA Conference League, showed no inferiority complex against the European champions.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca outwitted PSG’s Luis Enrique with a game plan that frustrated the French side’s attacking flair.

Palmer opened the scoring in the 22nd minute and added a sublime second eight minutes later, before turning provider for João Pedro in the 43rd minute.

PSG’s woes deepened when João Neves was sent off in the 83rd minute for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair.

Chelsea’s victory marks their second Club World Cup title, following their 2021 triumph.

“It’s a great feeling,” Palmer said. “Everyone doubted us, but we proved what we’re capable of.”

For PSG, the loss exposes tactical vulnerabilities, as captain Marquinhos admitted: “Chelsea worked well on our slight weakness. We must learn and improve.”
