President Bola Tinubu has officially endorsed the 2025 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), scheduled to hold in Lagos from November 25 to 30, under the theme “Unstoppable Africa.”

The endorsement followed a request by the African Union Commission seeking Nigeria’s collaboration for the prestigious continental event.

To ensure successful hosting, the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, inaugurated an inter-ministerial Local Organising Committee on Wednesday in Abuja.

The committee will work with the Lagos State Government, the African Union, and AFRIMA’s International Committee to deliver a world-class event.

Members of the committee include representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Interior, Information and National Orientation, and other key agencies such as the Nigerian Film Corporation and National Film and Video Censors Board.

Musawa emphasized that AFRIMA aligns with President Tinubu’s vision of positioning the creative industry as a key driver of economic growth and national development.

“This is more than just an awards show. It’s a platform to create jobs, promote tourism, and celebrate African talent,” she said.

AFRIMA President and Executive Producer, Mike Dada, thanked the Federal Government for its swift and full support.
