Former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has commended members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Kwara State for the successful completion of the party’s membership registration exercise, which concluded last Sunday.
In a statement released on Friday by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki lauded the dedication and enthusiasm demonstrated by party members across the state’s 193 wards.
He acknowledged that while the seven-week exercise had a slow start, it eventually picked up momentum and exceeded expectations.
“My commendation goes to all our party members who turned out in large numbers to make this initiative a success,” Saraki said. “They have clearly shown their pride in being members of the PDP; a party that remains committed to delivering good governance to the people.”
Saraki also appreciated the contributions of young coordinators, volunteers, and local party leaders who mobilized old and new members to ensure a smooth registration process.
“Today, Kwara PDP stands out as arguably the only state chapter within or outside the party with a reliable and up-to-date membership database.
“This is a strategic advantage as we prepare for future elections,” he stated.
Emphasizing the grassroots nature of the initiative, Saraki said its success was driven by the commitment of the people. “This is a strong example of what local ownership can achieve. I’m proud of our people.”
He urged party members to maintain the same level of enthusiasm and commitment as the 2027 general elections approach, with the goal of delivering renewed hope and development to the people of Kwara State.
