Tensions have flared between Senator Ireti Kingibe’s camp and Lere Olayinka, media aide to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, following personal attacks linked to the senator’s recent comments on governance in Abuja.
Kennedy Mbele, media aide to Senator Kingibe described Olayinka’s remarks as “childish, irresponsible, and diversionary,” accusing him of launching a smear campaign instead of addressing governance issues.
“No aide resigned over unpaid salaries,” Mbele clarified, responding to Olayinka’s allegation. He added that disengaged staff received their entitlements.
He warned FCT residents not to be distracted by Olayinka’s “shameful antics,” insisting Kingibe’s statements were issue-based.
